The District has not raised water rates, either the base rate or the consumption charge, since 2010. The purpose of the increase is to help cover various pass through expenses that have increased over the last several years. In the seven years since that increase, the District was able to decrease spending and reduce costs in all areas of operation and maintenance without sacrificing service to customers or integrity of the water system.
