RECREATION RECAP

This year’s recreation season was a huge success. The season began with the annual Dive Into Summer where over $2,000 in donation prizes were raffled off. The Sun Valley Pool offered aquatics fun for the 8 week season, had 394 registered participants in youth swim lessons, offered 3 free swim days, courtesy of The Fink Family, Teresa Benitez-Thompson and DR Horton, and was secured for several party reservations and large group visits.  A Pool Party polished the season off with music, dancing, games and prizes.  A BIG congratulations to the lifeguards who finished in 3rd place at the annual lifeguard competition and the Sun Valley Cal Ripken Little League who finished 2nd in the State Championship Game.  Last, a Show & Shine event was held in late August at the Sun Valley Community Park.  The District was thrilled to have such a busy season and thanks to all who patron the pool and parks.

THANKS TO OUR LIFEGUARDS

On behalf of the District and the Sun Valley community, thank you to all of the aquatics staff for your commitment, to provide a fun and safe place to recreate.
