PREVENTING FROZEN PIPES

Preventative maintenance of your home’s pipes can save a lot of trouble and money. Many homes in Sun Valley are not built on a foundation and are more susceptible to frozen pipes. The water pipes under your home, as well as the exposed supply lines are recommended to be wrapped with heat tape. It is important not only to make sure that the heat tape is working before the cold sets in, but also check the heat tape frequently during the cold months as they can burn out. It is also important that you make sure that there are no openings in the skirting around your home.
