WATERING DAYS

The District encourages water conservation year-round even with a wet winter like we have experienced this year. The District recommends following Truckee Meadows Water Authority’s schedule to water three times per week. Odd addresses should water on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Even addresses should water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
For more water conservation tips visit the District’s website at svgid.com/customer-info/conservation.

KTMB GREAT COMMUNITY CLEANUP

The District is participating in the Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful Great Community Cleanup again on April 29th. This annual event helps Sun Valley clean up illegal dumping and encourages local community members to join in and volunteer. Last year over 30,000 pounds of litter and 187 tires were removed from Sun Valley. For more information or to sign up to participate, visit www.KTMB.org or call (775) 851-5185.

NEW LIBRARY KIOSK

The District is excited to partner with Washoe County Library System to install a book vending machine in front of the Sun Valley Neighborhood Center. The machine will allow the public access to check out, reserve and return books at the Sun Valley Community Park during park hours, sunrise to sunset.

ARPA GRANT UPDATE

The Washoe County Commission awarded the District a $250,000 Grant using American Rescue Plan Act federal funds. To date, the District has completed a rehabilitation of the Sun Valley
Community Park basketball court and pedestrian walking path with a project cost of $82,402, as well as a rehabilitation of the outdoor park lighting and exterior building lighting at the Sun Valley

DID YOU KNOW?

Since fraudulent activities and advertisements seem to be increasing in the area, the District wants its customers to know that they are always welcome to contact the office to ensure the validity
of any correspondence received. Customers may also request to see an employee’s ID badge for verification any time a technician may be servicing a customer’s water or sewer lines.
